Distance Learning

We offer distance learning sessions that showcase animals! All sessions feature an Aquarium educator interacting with your class and answering questions about the topic. The animals are presented on camera and our programs are customized for specific grade levels. We can also adjust the intensity of the session to any grade level.

Educators give background information and multimedia visuals for the animal and its species while encouraging questions from students. You can also use the distance learning sessions as a supplement to your lesson plan. We are willing to discuss particular needs for your group.

Distance Learning sessions are conducted via a LifeSize® Room™ high definition video communications system with embedded 4-way HD multi-point capabilities for multiple participants. While we have the ability to host four remote sites at one time, we usually have only one or two. Sessions must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

If you have questions, please email Charles Hayslett or call 423-785-2010.
