Itinerary Options for School Groups
When planning your school’s trip to the Tennessee Aquarium, use the following ten guidelines to help plan your schedule.

1. Classroom programs begin at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or noon and last 45 minutes. You must have a minimum of 10 students to schedule a classroom program.
2. Auditorium programs begin at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or noon and last 30 minutes. You must have a minimum of 50 students to schedule an auditorium program.
3. Lunch & Learn classroom programs begin at 11 a.m., noon or 1 p.m.; lunches are not provided.
4. The self-guided tour through Ocean Journey takes about 1 hour.
5. The self-guided tour through River Journey takes about 1.5 hours.
6. IMAX films start on the hour and last up to 45 minutes.
7. You need to arrive from 15-30 minutes ahead of your designated Aquarium entry time.
8. You need to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the start of your IMAX film.
9. Two outdoor pavilions are available for lunch on a first-come, first-served basis.
10. There are no fast food restaurants within walking distance of the Aquarium.

Here are six sample schedules, given the above parameters. There are many possible ways to schedule your field trip, depending on the time you have available.
