New IMAX Film Tours the Minds of Cyclists

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (August 1, 2006) – Racing to the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX Theater August 24 - 27 is a film experience that explores the brain power behind the Tour De France.

“Wired to Win” is a journey through the mind and body of racers. Biking for three weeks up grueling mountains, through 100 kilometer-an-hour speeds and ending victoriously at the finish line.

This film merges modern medical science with the exciting twists of the Tour De France into a place more complex than the race itself – the human brain. Using groundbreaking technology, “Wired to Win” captivates and educates its audiences.

Through this fascinating film experience, audiences will learn about the intense training, incredible demands and remarkable brain power that go into a race. This film also explains the astonishing adaptability of the brain as it makes hairpin turns, reacts to sudden crashes, conserves and maintains the body’s precious energy, and uses every network it can to get a racer across the finish line.

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this National Geographic film as they race to the limits of the awesome power of the mind and through the remarkable journey of the Tour De France.

The Tennessee Aquarium inspires wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Admission is $17.95 per adult and $9.50 per child, ages 3-12.
