Giant African millipede

FUN FACTS
Adult millipedes can have over 100 pair of legs but baby giant African millipedes are born with only three pair. They add body segments and legs with each molt of their exoskeleton or external skeleton. Giant African millipedes do not bite but rather roll into a ball and secrete a defensive liquid in order to protect themselves from predators.

CONSERVATION
No millipedes are considered endangered or threatened.
