Tennessee Aquarium Offers Monster of a Deal to Costumed Kids
Special Screenings of Sea Rex 3D at IMAX Announced
Chattanooga, Tenn. (October 25, 2010) – The Tennessee Aquarium is offering a special treat for visitors Halloween weekend. Children under the age of 12, who wear their costumes to the Aquarium either Saturday, October 30th or Sunday, October 31st, will receive FREE admission when accompanied by a paying adult. This offer is limited to two children per party and may not be combined with any other offer. “When kids come in costume they’re part of the entertainment and the Aquarium experience is even more fun,” said Cindy Todd, the Aquarium’s marketing director. “We’d like to reward the kids and the parents who often go to great effort and expense to outfit their kids for Halloween.”
Halloween weekend wraps up the seasonal fun during “Thrills, Gills and Chills” at the Tennessee Aquarium. Guests will meet creepy-cool critters like a screech owl, a ghostly-white albino snapping turtle or albino king snake during special animal encounter programs. Dive shows and keeper talks also focus on busting myths about some of the Aquarium’s most misunderstood creatures. Visitors will also enjoy learning about weird creatures like cuttlefish and giant Pacific octopus while observing these animals being offered their meals.
At IMAX, visitors will have a chance to see special screenings of Sea Rex 3D during Halloween weekend. This thrilling film takes audiences on an extraordinary journey back in time to a lost world 200 million years ago. They will explore an amazing underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures which were ruling the seas before dinosaurs conquered the earth. State-of-the-art CGI animation brings science to life in IMAX 3D as movie-goers have a chilling, face-to-face encounter with the T-REX of the seas – the massive Sea Rex.
The only screenings of Sea Rex 3D are scheduled for:
Friday, October 29th at 2:00 & 5:00 pm
Saturday, October 30th at 2:00 & 5:00 pm
Sunday, October 31st at 2:00 & 5:00 pm
Also showing: Hubble 3D and The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D
The action is Bigger, Bolder and Better on the giant screen at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater Halloween weekend.
